Tips to avoid being 'ganked' in World of Warcraft

After reading a thread on the 'For the Horde' forums i thought some might find it useful or interesting to consider how one might reduce the chance of being ganked or avoid it entirely.

I love playing on a PVP server for the added thrill and danger of ALWAYS under threat of being attacked by the enemy, even if they're higher level or i'm busy fighting other mobs etc (I never gank others myself though - I'm a peace-loving hero who strives to be honourable so i just don't have the heart for it but I don't judge others by my own preferences)

Anyways, some tips for those who don't want to be ganked :0

1) Get into the habit of looking behind you regularly - Flip Camera is great.
2) If you spot any mob carcasses or corpses, be aware the enemy may be near by.
3) Scout an area you intend to be killing mobs in for the enemy.
4) Find secluded or less popular areas to grind mobs in
5) Try to have a clever escape route planned to the nearest safe haven.
6) Fight near a safe haven or allies if possible so you have aid/safty if req.
7) Invest in useful talents/skills and keep them off cooldown ready for use.
8) Always keep health/mana high enough to combat a suprise attack.
9) Keep an eye on the horizon and an ear out for the enemy.
10)Run and hide well( i.e. use terrain, skills, talents and less obvious routes)
11)Avoid paths, roads or well-worn routes while travelling to avoid the enemy.
12)...

Hmmm there's likely lots more but here's the ones i tend to use most often! Maybe other posters can add more.

The world is not always fair and war - even less so, so instead of heroes and adventurers whining or complaining about being ganked unjustly.. just use your greater skill, knowledge and talent to avoid it in the first place? Can be fun ;)

Honour & Fortune be yours!
*Salutes*
